After a two-year hiatus, this documentary photography is resuming the telling of stories and sharing photos of new Americans. While the pandemic detoured much of our lives, it also allowed us to refocus and to grow in many ways. As such, Immigrant Me returns with a new presence! First, it’ll be a micro-blogging documentary via social media as fellow immigrants respond to questions about their experiences. You will be able to interact with them by asking your own questions and sharing your comments. This leads to a museum exhibit in the summer of 2023.
It all begins on Cinco de Mayo with Part 1 of 7 of my own story of my life in Mexico, how we crossed the border illegally and our start in Madera, California. Then, new pictures begin featuring stories by immigrants from Honduras, Chile, France, South Korea, India and other countries. Keep up with each new story by following on Instagram and/or on Facebook.
